How to prepare for JEE Exams?

The golden question asked by each and every one of the students appearing for JEE Main this year is How do you prepare for JEE Exams? We assume that you would have considered the glory at stake and the hard work which it brings to a student. We spoke with large number of rankers in IIT Bombay, we sought the special secrets that these guys swore by. We tried to look for the secret sauce which they were applying to their daily breakfast bread which made them sharper at calculus, enabled them to imagine what an electron would do in every organic reaction, helped them visualize a rotational kinematics problem and allowed them to emerge as winners after defeating every JEE problem thrown at them.

What is JEE?

JEE stands for “Joint Entrance Examination”, it is a standardized test used for admission to engineering programs in India. The Exam is comprised of multiple-choice questions that test the applicant's knowledge in several engineering-related fields. The JEE is offered at two levels: JEE Main and JEE Advanced, the latter being required for certain selective programs.

The Structure of JEE Exam

JEE Main, unlike JEE Advanced, has a fixed exam structure and is not subject to change every year. Paper-1 is of three hours duration and consists of 30 multiple-choice questions in each of the three subjects (physics, chemistry, and maths).

Topics Covered

Mastering the JEE Main Important Chapters will definitely give you that much needed extra edge to crack the exam. The chapters based on the ‘weightage’ (importance to the exam) vs. the amount of input (the effort to learn and understand) required mastering them.

JEE Coaching

Every JEE aspirant would want their journey to begin on the right note. And the first thing he/she needs to decide is which JEE coaching classes they want to enroll into. Coaching classes form the nexus of a success recipe to cracking JEE and choosing the institute will make aspirants realize their true potential. It is a decision that requires a lot of thinking, and one can’t afford to rush into it.
Students who crack highly competitive exams like JEE are the ones who are intelligent and also toil day in and day out to get good results. Therefore, every aspirant needs to make a conscious, well-thought-out decision backed up by intense research when it comes to choosing his/her coaching classes for JEE preparations. After all, it’s the first and probably one of the least demanding decisions that one needs to make in the long and strenuous journey of JEE.
Though JEE coaching classes have been producing consistent and wonderful results over the past few years, they may yet crumble against the tide of time.
